Just bought a DTI TECH-TACH TT-20K Tachometer. I always just tuned by ear. I never had used one but this thing is pretty sweet. I like knowing exactly what my max RPM is. A friend of mine has an old Craftsman chainsaw with a metal housing. I did notice this tach had some problems picking up the RPM's when using it wireless on his saw. I assume the metal case was causing interference.

Great tach. Love mine.. working on a clamp system to hold on the handlebar while running one.
