Super Jolly grinder mod

So I finally used a super jolly grinder with a CBN wheel and I am sold on the speed and precision. However I was looking at a chain I had done today and the profile was different side to side. I noticed that the 3rd function wasn’t on zero. I don’t use it so I was curious if you could lock it at zero and still swivel left/right. The answer is yes you can with a super simple mod.

Tecomec cast in a locating boss that is hollow.



It is close enough to just tap it 3/8-16.




You can then center it and lock it down.

I have 3 grinders and have never had that problem. If you loosen the knob most of the way when you go from side to side I guess it could move the bed from zero, but I loosen just enough to swing back and forth and the bed always stays at zero.
