Stihl ms780 show unit in dealership for sale, comes with oem box and tool kits. Saw was started and kept for display hasnt seen wood. I'll get more pics for serious buyers, saw has crazy compression and has the brand new idle pop. Figured it will until it sees wood

Comes with ripping style rear handle meant for 3rd world countries. Difference between ms880 is rear handle and wg11 carb as opposed to wg12 on ms880. The smaller venturi carb gives more low and mid range torque for our hardwoods. Sacrificing some top rpms, coil is still limited

Now your gunna have everyone switching out their carbs for smaller ones. Lol

My 2 cents is that it will pull more fuel at a lower rpm when milling, and not go lean

Cool saw, never seen or new that model or 880 variation existed. I bet those 'freehand' board rippers would love that rear handle.

This one has the 088 Tilly (HE12?) on it and with out porting it was a waste or a step back in my opinion.

I bet that 780 runs as good as any stock 880. Would love it but have less than zero need for it and the tractor needs a clutch.

Lol i thought you guys were always looking to get more revs
Besides that smaller carb are hard to come by

Yes it'll pull more mix in lower rpm, mix suction in low rpm will be better so it wont bog in low rpm like ms880. Small venturi creates better suction in low rpm but struggles to supply in high rpm, big venturi cant supply enough in low rpm(lazy suction) but good for high rpm

Just like 070 and cs1201, they need that slim handle to hold with both hands for free hand ripping

Not sure if the venturi size can be seen but took a shot of it, was surprised to see intake boot with ribbed inners. Is that normal on ms880?
