What cylinder are you using, and are you doing any port work to it?
Yep the clip is on there!!Don't forget that little clip that goes on 460 cranks.
Pull the limiters on that carb and you should be fine.
I like OEM pistons, but they cost me about twice what a meteor costs, and I get a great deal on them. OEM prices really shot up over the last year.
Stock Cylinder that was on there, I will be posting pictures when I get to it!What cylinder are you using, and are you doing any port work to it?
The biggest pain in the azz on these for me is the fuel
That green one gave me a hard time on a 90 degree day!Do Not try installing a fuel line in the cold … don't ask how I know … especially those nice new green ones!
I have found a pretty easy way to pull it through the tank. I’ll post some pictures/video when I put the jug on!I see quite a few pics of these with the tank bolted up to the case, but the jug off.
Does it make it an extra pain in the azz to get the manifold on?
Anytime I have been in one, the tank was always coming off anyway, so I never tried to get an intake in there while it was all bolted up.
I will probably delete the base gasket as well. Most 460 jugs can benefit from some port work, but I got one that runs real nice with just a base gasket delete.
Yep, but I use some pull cord line to pull it through. It’s handy as heck... think it’s in the manual, too.I prefer to put the boot on the jug, then push it through the handle when I install it.
Gives me more room when working with the jug, and I know the boot is on the jug right.
Me too Mikey. I know the orientation is just right.I prefer to put the boot on the jug, then push it through the handle when I install it.
