Hmm, I think doing a pressure and Vac test on the saw and lines is a good idea. Also give the carb a check over too. Strip and clean it. Manifolds and impulse can tear when the saw is pulled and pushed when it gets stuck in a bind. Seals leak with age and carbs fill with gunk and lines become brittle. All things to check.

Can any of you guys point me towards the workshop manual, for disassembling the saw at least as far as the crankcase pressure tube?
