Me to, and once the 400.1 reaches the USA it will get further testingand we will hear even more about it from OTHERS!
I let others test the 500iuntil last Aug/Sept
before buying one
, I then ran it for several weeks before sending it off to the Chimp for port work.

No patience! Why is that a downside ? I'd rather someone else find out if there's something wrong with it before I buy it.
The new 400 will be here this year.
So I'd assume the new 300 will be next year...but maybe not.
Its never a bad idea to let someone else beta test a new release for you.Me to, and once the 400.1 reaches the USA it will get further testingand we will hear even more about it from OTHERS!

Both have had many, 201 had at least 3 updates. Ms 441 got recalled because of bad intake boot materials and they were blowing up but actually was a solid saw after the fixes were done too bad the damage was done. Husky has updated then completely replaced models with same basic model number and just added mark 2 and in some cases mark 3. But honestly wouldn’t care if I was one of the first ones to get it long as they fixed what broke ect. Selected tests with small groups only provides so much information and they need to get them into people’s hands to find faults. The world has some special people that can wreck anything so there’s going to be some stupid proofing early in a saws design even if it’s basically good. Both Husky and Stihl have a history of updates to fix new model issues.
That was my thoughts as well, you can freshen up and turn up a 260 for a lot less $$$ than buying a brand new 261. Even just a muffler mod makes a big difference in the 026/260.Port the 260.
