I've been running a 32" bar with a rip chain for milling and I built a supplemental oiler for the far end of the bar. The two oilers worked great in tandem until the built-in oiler stopped working. It doesn't appear to be clogged and from what I've read, the oiler gear is a frequent failure part on this model. If I'm going to take it apart to fix that then I'm interested in upgrading to a HO control bolt and piston while I'm at it. Backtroller's excellent post, Stihl 361 HO Oiler, is very instructional. He shared part numbers -- 1128 647 4803 for the control bolt and 1128 647 0602 for the pump piston for a Stihl 361. I found a great video of the replacement procedure where the poster shared part numbers 460R and 461R for the control bolt and piston.
However, when I search online I get lots of references to "OEM" replacement parts associated with these model numbers, yet my local Stihl dealer says Stihl doesn't make an HO oiler or even make make OEM parts available.
I haven't been around chainsaws and repair sources enough to know what info to trust so I figured I'd come ask the experts. Would you know which are the right part numbers for my model and where I might purchase these components? I'm located in MA, USA if it matters. Thx.
