I'm sure it will be limited Ryan. I wouldn't worry about that though.

I also wanna know why they only offer this model in 2 flavors...why not the rest of them ?

I hate tuning rev limited saws.

My dealer offers both 261 and 361/2 in carb or mtronic offerings. As well as the 461 with a carb. They sell slot of 362 with carbs lately.

Gotta say I was a doubting thomas on the electronic carbs, but I finally thought what the he!! and bought a clean used 261C at a very good price. I liked it, modded the muffler and liked it more. Liked it so well that when I found another 261C MMWS that was very clean and great price, I bought that too, and guess what, I like that one too!

Cannot comment on the 262C but the 261C Mtronic works well for me.

I got a version 2 MS261 cm and it is a great saw. I got both the 20 inch bar with the safety chain and a 16 inch with a yellow chain. The 261 with the 16 inch bar will eat some wood. I have been cutting rock hard dead gum trees and it is fun. The saw is fairly light and has all the power I need. Just felled a 24 inch pine using the 20 inch bar without any issues. I would recommend a yellow chain.

I have a 261 type 2 standard carb. Only have 4 tanks through it now and I'm hoping it will wake up a little more. It is getting better but tank one was painful. I muffler modded it and trimmed the key and I do like it now but I still like the way the 346/550 spools up so much quicker. It is a nice saw but it just isn't as spunky as a 550. In the cut, they both work well and power is similar but the husky does better with 3/8 IMHO. It is nice to tune it with a screwdriver though.

I've ran a few 026 and ms260 and one ms261. Just doesn't feel like much to me imo. I am not feeling the urge to ever own one since the ms230 and 555 are handy.

And the 362 at my dealer had no Star Trek cover almost forgot. Haha. But it definitely had a carb.
