Stihl MS 170 Oiler

I had a friend contact me about his MS 170 not oiling. I have never torn one down and do not own one, how does one get to the oiler? I found an IPL online but it is no help. Does the clutch need to come off to get to it? It appears I am just as much a newbie on this saw as he is...

Pulls out from under saw with a 5mm bolt.
Need to remove Handel etc to get to it.
Time consuming to do.

 

[67L36Driver]

Check the end of the oil pump drive ‘spring’.

High mileage Stihl saws wear the end off where it engages the clutch drum.

One has to remove the clutch to see it.

New spring is less than four bucks.
