Stihl KM 56 RC

A friend asked me to see if I could get his trimmer running. It starts but doesn’t go past half throttle but the carb is opening up all the way. I did a compression test and it’s only at 90 psi. I can’t find online what the compression should be and also I read that the KM56 has compression release when you pull the cord fast. Will this make a difference on the compression test ? If so how do you go about doing the test and what should the compression be on the KM56 ? Thanks for any help

Take the muffler off and run it. I have seen a lot of mufflers partially clogged with gunk from not being run wide open
