Can anyone confirm that the Stihl hookaroons are made by Logrite? They look identical but cost another $20.
It may be for work since we heat our shop and my house with wood. It is for the safety of our employees, right?Just get the logrite. It is the same tool. The blue is a better color for visibility too. I have the Stihl version, it's a great tool. It was an impulse buy, otherwise I'd have the blue one.
If you're ordering from them anyway, you should get one of their cant hooks while you're at it. I just have a 30" mill special, but it's REALLY handy. If you can swing it, I highly recommended them.
Just had to show off your cooler twice ehhh. Dick. [emoji20] maybe I'll call them tomorrowYep...get the Logrite, be done with it. As far as Logrite's peaveys/cant hooks go...awesome.!! Here's a shot of two new 60" Logrites...a cant hook version and a peavey version. Both with Logrite Log stands. Spend the extra $35-40 and get the log stand...it's a game changer.
I've got one of each with stands that I use and have abused bucking logs, they're at my brother's place where the 60+ acres of wood is. The stand makes a helluva difference. You can get a big log off the ground to cut clean through, with minimal effort.
I keep these two un-used for any dire straits/raffle time for members that may fall on hard times financially, medical, otherwise.
The handle length is actually different by a few inches for the 60" versions depending on which one you get. I guess they consider the length of the peavey on the end compared to the lesser length cant hook, hook.
