Building huztl 361's, 440's, and a 660
Going to build the tools like mattyo did.
What's the flywheel and clutch side crankshaft thread pitch on the 361 and 440?

The 660 sounds like is 10mmx1 and left hand 12mmx1

Thanks in advance for the help!!
Of course once I get them built I'll make a thread on how I did it and where I got the taps.

success, the info was right under my nose in the service manuals!
361 and 440 both share M8x1 threads on the flywheel side and M12x1 left hand on the clutch side

thanks for the info :)

I'm working on prototyping these tools anyway with a machine shop... it may not be far off that i'll have a few for sale. ... though they aren't bad to make

The tool I'm going to build will have M10x1 on one side. M12x1L on the other similar to your but I'm going to make mine 12" long and thread on two nuts . Center them on the rod approximately 4" apart and weld them on that way I can clamp the tool in a vise. No need to mess around with copper sleeve or a long handle like Walts tool. Then it will truly be a one handed operation. Plus it would make everything much more stable during use.
I'll build two.
One M8x1/M12x1L
One M10x1/M12x1L

Should be able to build every Stihl kit huztl makes
