Stihl bg 56-c bogs

My blower bogs I know its not the spark arrestor the fuel is fresh non ethanol stihl hp ultra and when its warmed up upon going full throttle it bogs for just a sec and occasionally is will die what carb adjustment screw do I adjust the low speed or high speed screw and advise would be great

what type of carb adjustment tool do I need

Flat or Philips will do it. You should have a little Stihl screwdriver when you got it new.

It should be the same for old and new models or is it a special tool

I am not sure about the older models like bg85 and stuff but I bought a bg56 4 years ago and it was the same as a bg86 I bought less than a month ago. I removed the plastic limiter tabs on the carb screws. Take off the starter cover and trim them with a hot knife or scalple. You can also grind them down with a small burr on a dremel/foredom. CW is leaner (less fuel) CCW is richer (more fuel).

Be aware that Stihl carburetors are now switching over to a 4 mm hex especially on the trimmers and blowers. They also don't have limiters install on these either. This requires a thin wall 4 mm nut driver. I had to buy the new adjustment tool as I already ran into several unit with these. I also went ahead and got the mini single D, mini Pacman and the 7 tooth spline.
