I have been using the medium rated AV mounts that come on the saw , just ordered the firm ones to replace the stock ones. Haven't replaced them yet.

Anyone else have a strong preference to which to use???

I like a smooth saw, but to me the Dolmar 7900 stock springs are a little too sloppy feeling. Just my opinion, love the dolmars.

This 660 is mainly a felling / bucking saw and always will have a 36" bar on it.

How do you tell which ones you have ? i would think the wrap saws would have harder ones for the longer bars they normally use ?

Part numbers?? I'll have to see if they are on the actual rubber part.

I buy medium or hard ones for OEM. The aftermarket are smoother though.

They do have the number on the rubber, mine had the medium, but I bought it used, pretty sure the were the original ones , looked the age of the saw for sure.

They aren't that torn up, see how the new ones feel, prolly lot tighter. Was time to go back thru that old beast, got a new clutch bearing, springs and long overdue cleaning

Some are only available in medium. I tried a set of soft and didn't like them at all. Too spongy
