Wait a dern minit!!!! If this new saw is so blamed fast, why’s it taking so long to get over here?!?!
Ha! That seems to be normal, whether intended or not. I think it would be safe to say 90% of their North American dealer network today has no clue this new saw even exists.

Be fun to throw a MS363 in the mix. Just as sexy but we'll never see them here. If I did the currency conversion right price is just under $700
62.6 cc
4.8 HP
12.3 lbs
Pretty sure this is where the aluminum piston comes from.

They are available, like other chainsaws (e.g. MS 382) designed for markets with less stringent emissions requirements, south of the US.

Listening to the knuckleheads in that video is like taking chainsaw advice from Bob Villa. In spite of those idiot posers doing their best to make both saws look bad, I think the neo 400 will be a more than adequate replacement of the 362 and probably the current 400 as well.

The new 400.1 -

It's junk.

It doesn't have a magnesium pithton.

It will cost 10 grand.

It probably won't even smell good.

It has a plathtic handle.

The ms 170 will probably torch it.

How long will you even be able to even buy parts for it ?

I'm thoroughly convinced 75% of the people on the internet who obsess over chainsaws are Virgins.

Actually the lighter piston should increase hp and torque. Remember the piston actually stops and starts again at the bottom and top of each cycle. Now a wheel that just keeps rotating would be a different story.
Looks like the connecting rod has been lightened though. I’d be curious to know the weights in comparison to each 400 model.
I hadn't thought of it that way. That is an interesting explanation!

Sad but true. My dealer, who is very large & well stocked, did not know about it & even said, "You probably know more about it than I do."

Absolutely do not buy these chainsaws as they are junk! Be much better served buying blue saws. For sure.

You get it, I have no idea how people can have such strong opinions about things they know nothing about, the speculation gets to the point it's actually comical if you have any sense about you at all.

And that doesn't just apply to chainsaws...

I think this new saw will be a ringer...maybe it won't. But I'm not gonna toss off over it.

it'll probably cost somewhere in the neighborhood of what a 362/400 does, the US version will probably have a spark arrestor..you know...the usual changes from the Euro to US model.

It's like people learn nothing from the past.

That's a new one...a dealer who knows nothing about a chainsaw model that isn't even here yet, never heard of that before.

His parents probably fed him mashed potatoes with a 10 gauge.
