Stihl 201T Mtronic carb swap

Yes, I just finished one, and each one of them I do impress me more and more. I did this one with all OEM Stihl P/C and etc parts. I have 3 200Ts in my possession at the moment. 2 are promised out.
Lone Wolf, what is your opinion on why that part # exists for the 201?

I don't know a lot about 201T's I do know they are not as cooperative with swapping parts as a 200T is .

The 201T ran horribly when it was first released. I've modded at least a couple hundred 201Ts because of this. This kit was Stihl's answer to that problem. Stihl eventually got it right and they ran ok from the factory. They all improve with simple mods though. This kit existed long before the MTronic 201Tc came along.

Depends on the vintage on how well it will run.

Do not buy the kit. A little timing advance, modded muffler, and tuned carb will make even the earliest ones run fantastic. The kit is absolutely not needed.
