stihl 192 vs 193

what are the differences between the 192 and 193 top handle stihl saws? the 193 has replaced the 192 but which one is the better saw and whats different about them?

Don't buy either. Get an echo 2511t. I know not super helpful but you will thank me if you do.

It's a solid saw too. It will run with a new version 201 for sure! I like the anti vibe on the 201 a little better though.

The main differences between the MS 192 T and 193 T are:

- the stratified 2 cycle engine on the 193 T, because of exhaust gas limitations
- chain sprocket cover with captive bar nut.

I will this weekend. I have both the 192 and 193. Both have the mufflers modded and timing advanced. We shall see how close they are. The 193 is new and on its second or third tank. The 192 just got a new OEM piston and will be one its first tank since rebuilt.

with a couple tanks already threw the 193 it should have an advantage from the rings being broke in some maybe the 192 could get a couple tanks run threw it to put them on even footing before they square off. Nice saws!
