Frank bierce, don't hate me if I got your name wrong. Lol

He's a good guy who needed a saw ported and I said I'd port on for free so here we are.
A 90cc saw over 220lb will hurt you now and then.

Wow that Christmas thread saw is crazy. Somebody is gonna be very happy. Awesome job.
Just curious if you think this saw would benefit even more with a pipe or is the porting different for a pipe saw?
It's just a work saw with a bunch of compression. Numbers aren't much different than a work saw.

101 seems like s good number to me, are you gunna take it up to 100?
101 then probably 100, depending on how much compression is lost I'd like to try one at 98 or 99 with a little more intake with short blow down. I think a 210lbs saw at 98 would be interesting.

I started on another old mahle tonight and it's unbelievable how port timing changes on this saw, check 10 cylinders and get 10 different port timing.

I've heard of the unicorn cylinder with perfect numbers but the best I've ever cn is 97, this saw had one of the better ones, my 064 has a mahle on it that's lowered all it can be and the intake is only 80 without raising. I have cn a few decomp cylinders with better timing in fact my 066 has a late 660 cylinder on it.

Nice build. Thanks for the pictures. The stihls and different cylinder porting is a true statement. Sometimes it's finding the right cylinder that makes one stand out. Which carb does the saw have?

I've never looked at it. Lol
It's a older walboro but which one I haven't a clue, I'll let you know tomorrow cause it's getting bored in the morning.

If it wasn't for having to raise the transfers so far on the bad cylinders and making the opening to the mains huge it really wouldn't matter, one is just more work than the other. The intake needs raised on all of them and the exhaust needs lowered. The transfers are where the difference is, I've cn stock ones at 120 and 128, that's a huge difference.

Did you do any muff mods??? I think Stihl stats used to say the early 066 mags gained 1/2 Hp w/the dp muff cover.
I use a 1" outlet.
I have boxes of mufflers for these, I saved the two off my red light saws and you can start with those and build a time line of there production by watching the outlet get smaller.
