Stihl 051 AV no power/won't idle

I figured out why mine shut off. I put the spark plug cap back on the plug. Haha. Thought it seemed electrical.
I swapped out for my 661. I'll take the 051 in 30 in oak. The torque is superior.

It does help to have it connected. We all overlooked the obvious sometimes. I know I have at times that why when I get one that seems impossible to repair I take a break for a while.

It sorta like the 90cc ATV I working on. First it was carburetor and fuel problem then no spark. I got those fix and it still would not start. Found that very little compression and the leak down test said I had a valve problem so pulled the engine. After tearing it down and finding nothing obvious wrong I reassemble so I would lose any of the parts while awaited the gaskets. Upon doing this I found some idiot had over tighten the valve clearance. If I only had check the valves before the tear down I wouldn't have to buy half of the gaskets. Oh well learned a lesson for the next time.
