I think I'm getting ready to send my 034 to the Monkey Man...to get a little geeked up!!

I've been really debating where to spend my next chainsaw spending money. I'm either gonna port my 036 or my 460. I know I'll gain more overall HP for the money with the 460, but a super snappy 60cc sounds like something that I might use a lot more often.

Decisions decision...

Just send your choice of saw to the Monkey...be done with it. It'll come back like a raped Ape...pun intended.

That's the one I want.
I don't want the 61cc 034 super, I want a 56cc 034

Nice looking saw!
Well...if'n ya want it, PM and we can work out a deal possibly. It's an in between saw now, so options are open. God knows what it would cost to ship to your dirt...

Don't think there's any timing difference between the 034S and the 036. Same Jug. The standard 034 is different, with the 46 vs. 48mm bore and the presence of the intake uvula. I'm sure slight variations in timing from jug to jug may exist, regardless of bore size, like on other Stihl models.

The 034 has a deeper front air damn in front/underneath top cover that won't allow it to fit over the larger 48mm jug.

As Jason pointed out, using the standard 034 muffler with either 48mm jug will require the 034S spacer. The 034/S muffler is the older style with the ventilated heat shield over the front of it. Not sure if it's baffled internally or not. I'd personally add a 36 muff and toss the thing.

I'd use the 48mm jug because there is no replacement for displacement, as they say. If you were gonna stick with the 46mm jug, I'd port it a bit differently. There's a difference case to swept volume ratio and a relatively bigger carb for the 46mm jug.

A well ported 036 is my favorite all around Saw. I'd never get rid of mine. Mines a bit ugly but 100% badass.

I had an 034 that had been ran with a bad filter, scuffed piston .I ruined the freakin cylinder using a flap wheel.lesson learned .Found an 036 cylinder and a Metior piston .Ran fine .

I only ran that thing for about half an hour .Even stock it was strong for 60 cc .Traded it for a McCulloch 805 .

I've got an 034 super I have as yet to find the time to tinker with .I'll put the soup to that one when I find the time to do it .
