What oil and ratio do you plan to run in it?
I think they would, if they got a big enough set swingin590xp........it's been said that the 572 crankcase was overbuilt, possibly for a 90cc option.
Would the Swedes really send one of their prototypes to their biggest competitor's backyard?
From my understanding he gets the echo and stihl next weekHave ya placed that power head on a scale yet to see the weight?
Fuel injection?
Stihl 090 replacement?![]()

590XP will be interesting. Then again, if the new 881 is almost the cc's of an 090, with more power than it, the 880 and 084, in a lighter, better handling package...
You said it had big shoes to fill, to me that means a saw manufacturer that currently does not have a 90cc option for sale... I really want it to be a 590xp but im thinking its a different manufacturer to compete?Unfortunately not

So what exactly are you saying? There are just 3 manufacturers left who are developing OPE 2-strokes compliant to present and future exhaust emissions. And only 2 of them are in the big chainsaw market...

Smart move on there part to do it that way imo. Will it offer a standard adjustable carb or will it be mtronic? That’ll be interesting to see how that pans out. Also a factory foam oiled filter option would be nice to see if they still don’t have air pre-cleaning.881 is mostly an evolution of the 880. Just like they did with the 460 to 461. Same bore and stroke like the 880 but with front fed transfers, added stratos (like a beefed up 462) and updated filter.
