I used to fish… before I had kids. Probably almost 20 years ago. Still have the boat, she doesn’t get ran much.

I spent a good bit of time chasing tuna in the canyons off MD and VA too. Running 60 miles in the ocean in a 23’ center console stopped after my first daughter was born.
I have six years and my two girls will be through college, I’ll get back to it if any fish are left.

Tuesday morning at Joe Wheeler State Park in Rogersville, AL, 3 Catfish & 2 bream in about 25 minutes...ALL on crickets & ultra-lite spinning gear!
Been a spell since I've been out on the water...man it felt great!

Bit of repost I dropped in a different thread. Mothers day afternoon. Never thought we would be catching these at this time of year that have not spawned yet. Dad was the only one to catch one, but we had a good time anyway. Got a text from my mom that he was on cloud nine last night, it felt like old times again. Dad is 76, soon to be 77 in a few months and was able to fish with my brother, myself and two grand kids for the afternoon. Tried to explain to my son that I don't know how many more trips I will have with his grandfather and I am going to take every chance that I can to have them.

Haven't been out much in a while, hope to get some salmon fishing in this fall. Did make it out to do some canoeing with the family, nothing big caught, missed a nice 16-18 rainbow, maybe next time. Saw a few bald eagles too, floated under one, we were about 25 yrds from it. Overall it was a great time.

Got a nice chinook today, 50’ from the ocean at high slack! Was a crazy fish all over the place and really fast and a great fight! I in 20 are like that for me! Super fun!

I’m heading out to PDX in December for work. I’m going to arrive a few days early so my buddy can get me a shot at some winter steelies.

Dad turned 77 tuesday, so we hit the water yesterday. Overcast day with some breeze, good day for drift fishing.

Spent a few hours on water again today catching a few more cats. Dad picked up this 10# blue before the wind died and it got too hot.
