Nice...!!I've mostly downrigged for chinook salmon for the last 25 years , but as the grandsons got more independent ,
they made me go for bass and lakers. The bass are now averaging bigger than when I was a teenager.
They started to feed on Gobies (an invasive species in Georgian Bay)View attachment 57561 View attachment 57562 View attachment 57563

What type rigs, jigs, or lures do you toss into that swift current?
Wish we had enough ice for fishing.I just started ice fishing about a month or so ago. Ice is out here now.

That a synthetic hair you're using on those buck tails? Good lookin work I'd run thoseI throw anywerw from 1.6 oz to 2.5 ox depending on current and depth i also sight cast them for coboa up in down the beach on the rays its fun to watch a 40 lb cobia come under a manta ray to chase down a jig and wack it specially if there are several of them and they are trying to outrun each other to get to it View attachment 57706 View attachment 57707 View attachment 57708
Lots of different ways but heres one Main line down to swivel with a dropper line with split shot. Then a four or five ft leader tipped with a fly or whatever. What type rigs, jigs, or lures do you toss into that swift current?
I do pretty well, when the turbines own tossing big "Rooster Tails, Rattle-Traps, Swim Baits"...still hard for me to get used that current.
