Maybe it will work out for you. Why an aluminum hard hat though? I'm forced to wear a plastic hard hat because I work around energized electrical equipment.
No reason. I have had it for awhile now. I have used the plastic ones too.

They are great to work with! All are knowledgeable in everything forestry related and are extremely helpful over the phone. They’ve been doing this a very long time.
Aluminum or as sometimes called tin hats/lids take a good hit vs a plastic one and they don't degrade from sun light especially when falling timber daily. To give you an idea most guys on the west coast never replace one through their whole career in the woods, I'll be dead honest other then some of the carbon ones you don't normally see plastic out here in the woods.

Seems like the suspension mounts are in a different spot.i tried putting one in my dad's old Mac ts and for some reason it wouldn't work.
It works in conjunction with the filling in your molars to communicate with the Martians.
Just called them and ordered one. Very easy transaction and a real person answered the phone after a couple of rings; we were done in 2 minutes. I have ordered chains from them before; great company.
Does anybody make suspensions that will fit the old Mac ts?
