Try Madsens, when I called they asked me 4-pt or 6-pt. I bet they have them too.

Be forewarned, there's two mounting styles. One is the type WCS makes and is the old style, to the best of my knowledge WCS is the only one making that suspension. The other one is a newer, conventional webbing and you can buy generic helmet webbing that'll fit for $10. MSA 454231 is the webbing p/n I ordered for my new tin bucket, $17.99 from ebay.

The Skull Bucket hats use the same 4-point Suspension the MSA Skullgard does. Any place like White Cap or most construction suppliers will have them in stock. You can get ratcheting or pin-lock.

Maybe it will work out for you. Why an aluminum hard hat though? I'm forced to wear a plastic hard hat because I work around energized electrical equipment.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, and probably piss off the loggers-The plastic ones work better.

You can beat the dent out of an aluminum hat. That dent has already had the material push past its yield strength. It will not take the next.

A plastic hat may crack when it gets hit, but at least it’s permanently out of service. It also won’t dent it and hit your skull.

Does anybody make suspensions that will fit the old Mac ts?

I get issued a new hard hat every 5 years and a new suspension every year. It doesn't cost me anything and it's required by my employer.

They work better how? Are you saying the same force applied to the plastic hat will protect you more than the same force applied to an aluminum hat?
