I found out why the standard single bit handle wont work in the arvika ,they call it a racing/competition axe ,has a wider eye

4” would probably keep the Handle below my hard hat.

Here’s the one I finished. Just gotta oil it and put it to use. The stain brought out some imperfections but it doesn’t bother me at all.

I ordered a few from here I was totally satisfied easy to deal with just order what you need they add actual shipping or you can call to order. They have a handle for everything I think.

Anyone ever tried hazel or holly for a handle

I make walking sticks for our local charity shop and use both and the young holly makes nice strong sticks

Snagged these today, I think I have a problem.
The double bit is a True Temper Kelly. The lower left Hudson Bay one has US on it but can’t make it all out. Should be able to decoder it once it’s clean.
The little tomahawk is just neat, no Maker’s mark on that unfortunately.

I am intrigued by this one. It has Collins blue paint on it but isn’t marked anywhere except the underside of the pole. Had a fiberglass handle in it and with its weight and thin profile cheeks I bet it’s a chopping animal. The steel has a very nice ring to it so I believe it is high quality.

Yeah that tomahawk is sweeeeet good find you only got a problem if you haven’t got an outlet for those spare heads . UPS are doing special rates for parcels too the uk
