where did you fit it at
My old timer buddy showed me some pointers like pencil lines in center all the way around. Once lines are in place set head zackly were it should be and trace the shape on end of handle. As your fitting the head you site along handle to bit edge to to keep it straite. And yes it can be frustrating but this has helped me. Just FYI the pic I just posted I didn't carve that one out. Keep trying ts only wood [emoji38]Awesome job there Rodney. Is there a thread anywhere that explains how to properly fit a handle to an Axe head? You make it look easy. I have no luck at all.

Draw knife sanding or whittling takes much longer.

Looks great Rodney, I like the wall behind it as well.Ok gittin a little closer on the small hatchet Dallas gave me. Decided to go with a hex shaped handle to show off the curly a bit better. Only some stain on it at this point. I also tapered the handle to get fatter on the end. I'm hoping a bunch of linseed oil will make it look better. Here yah go.
