Just posting what hardware stores stock these days!
All ax heads are way too slender, even the wannabe "Dragon Slayer" heads they have are crap.

No wonder all hardware stores stock electric/hydraulic/inertia/PTO vertical & horizontal splitters - customers can't buy good axes anymore!
Intentional marketing trick?!

Yeah, I'll just utilize my Dragon Slayer.
I need to resume making a spare/copy though.

I've had a half dozen Plumb Jetwings & they sell CRAZY FAST.
I don't think one has lasted more than a day when I put em up for sale.
I have 5 Kelly DB's & only 1 Jetwing. Lol

2 Perfects & a 3# Jetwing at top (I'm keeping it😁).

I like longer handles on double bits myself.
I don't use one much, but they can be a little more dangerous than a single bit.
I have a 36" on a 4lb Flint Edge & the longer length isn't a problem on it.
I prefer shorter handles on single bits.
It's a matter of preference I guess.

Yup. Those are for splitting, been a long time since I swung a Collins, the Kelly Perfect came via recommendation and it looks fast.

Where do you guys think they should be? 30° on the Collins and 25° on the Kelly?
The Perfects are legendary felling axes as well.
