Thanks that head I put on there was a nice thick wedge perfect splitter so the pick handle had plenty of meat to shave off so a good solid handle for some splitting

Any more information on this Simmons axe

Not from me. I've read where there was a Simmons back in the early 1800s that made axes and other iron products but before IC Simmons.
