I came across this guy today. Nice Plumb tool. Too bad it had a crack on the head.

Could it be welded? Nice axe...

Not sure how the weld would hold after being forged and heat treated. Don't know enough about welding. Lol

it should weld ok this axe in the photo below i found in a generator shed where we. Lived and i put a handle in it and arc welded it, has was back in 1996 this ole axe was all i had for years and it has split tonnes of wood with this old faithful

Here is 1950. I wonder how Plumb was involved with Bluegrass? I think I have one of the carpenters axes.
