Pretty good chance it's the wire terminals in the connector at the throttle body.
I should be able to get you a part number for a new connector with leads if you wanted.
I had an 02 with the 8.1

Yeah if it's not too much trouble. I did check all the pins on all of the connectors and didn't find any loose ones but, there could be a defect in the wiring that I was unable to see. From what my buddy says most of the time when it throws a code is when he is accelerating near wide open throttle and then partially lifts off. It has been occurring less frequently since replacing the sensor on the pedal and the module. We thought about converting it to cable but, I have no idea on what all that entails.

Right I need to build my damn Ford. Got a clean 66 body and a 75 f100 4x4 running gear. Got a 390 and a 4spd I plan on using.

I want to see pictures when it's together. That's nearly exactly what I want to build with my boys in the near future.

Pictures right now would suffice.
I'll snag some pictures next time I'm out at my dad's. We have a bunch of crap between us. He just built a nice square body 3/4 ton 4x4 with a mercruiser 350. Was a half ton 305 truck with 14k miles on it. Still had the dealer paper on the back window. Dad paid $400 for it. Hes got a few 66 ford trucks in disrepair. One of them is beat to hell. the original owner raced stock cars. That truck could make a factory driveshaft look like a twizzler. It got parked after a friend of dads bent a pushrod and we had it in the shop and noticed the crank walked back and forth like a 1/4" I don't think that engine is a 352, 360 or a 390. I'm interested to see what crank, pistons and cam it has in it...
He's got a 68 4 door galaxy that he bought for the engine. Body is pretty beat and rusted. Has a 428pi in it $500. He's got a 1974 ford high boy with a 79 body 390 with a c6. Needs to be finished. He's got a 56 chevy 4 door bel air 327 glide trans. I'm waiting for him to retire from the wrecking yard so we can start on some projects.
Here's one of his trucks.

I have a short box but, I may go with a flat bed. I'd like to find a 3/4 4x4 running gear to drop the 66 body on. I don't much care for the f100 front suspension. The mounts line up although the bed mounts are 2 inches back and about an inch higher on the the later frames. So I'm thinking flat bed would be the way to go. Or space cab up 1 inch and move mounts forward.

With the right parts a 390 is capable of making some pretty impressive power, but externally it's hard to tell what you have until you pull a head.. Could be a 410 Mercury, they were essentially a 428 crank in a 390 bore block with an externally balanced flywheel... and they made some good torque

It is hard to tell what has been done to it without taking it apart. They all say 352 on the front of them haha. I plan on tearing her down someday and getting her rebuilt if she's not too far gone. 1966 is by far my favorite year of ford trucks next up would be 1948 followed my 1979. 1980 they went to hell. We have a ton of FE parts laying around. We could probably build 10 engines and have parts left over. I've noticed lately the 60's ford's are going up in value and becoming more desirable. Glad I have most of the parts I need as they are getting harder to find.

Did you see the hotrod FE build they did a long time ago? I think it was in the neighborhood of 700hp.

I haven't see that particular build, but I don't doubt it can be done! I used to work at a shop that built dyno systems. I have seen what a healthy big block is capable of!

They do some cool FE builds. I found another from hotrod in 2018 that made over 700hp and was 482ci. I think they both used genesis blocks which have cross bolted mains. I'd be happy with around 400hp which should be pretty easy to do with an old FE and be reliable for a street driven truck.
