One benefit to having your own little kiln is you could get into sawing lumber. Then dry all the cut offs from it for wood stove i guess.Jeeze, don’t bite my head off.
Another advantage would be, not needing to stockpile two or more years worth of wood. You could cut just for the coming year or even cut as you need it and just dry it before you burn it.
But at the end of the day its whats best for you. If a small kiln is better cause you dont have room to stock pile then thats the way to go.
