Seal for intake

Hello guys, is it possible to use seal instead of gasket on intake for husqy 3120 or it will lean the mixture?

i would not do that. but thats not to say it wouldnt work in a pinch for a short term fix, but cutting a gasket from a paper grocery bag would be a much better option IMO.

or maybe just get an oem gasket and not worry about it ever again.

If you have a complete old one gasket material is advalable at auto parts stores. A piece of gasket Lightly pounded on the surface to make cutting lines works too.

I can’t say it would effect the mixture if it’s 100% sealed but, your chances of an intake leak are far higher with out a fiber seal. And a leak with will throw off the the carb for sure.

The real question is why are you asking or what are you trying to accomplish buy not using one.
