Had a few min after lunch to try an idea floating in muh head for a vice base.

Trying to decide on a flag, or another rod that can swivel

If I'm translating correctly, I'd definitely go with an axle-like swivel at 90 degrees.
I like to be able to rotate the saw on a horizontal axis like its a chicken on a rotisserie.

Funny how hard it is to explain something as simple as how something should spin/rotate/swivel.
Sort of like cylinder ex port heights, is stating it's higher/lower by the degree # or the actual physical distance...?

Yes, rotate on the horizontal axis.

Maybe even use a slip joint. (Like a dial indicator base/setup)

Adjustable height and any angle/reach within the length of the rods.

The fun thing about making these is the endless different ways to go about getting a similar function.
I like the slip/pinch type joints, I used them on the one I did on the first page simply because I could repurpose some surplus that had already been done for something else, made for a quick build.
