Saw a few trimmers on the back of a utility truck today. Larger Stihl units and at first I thought nothing of them. As I passed the truck I realized they do Right Of Way work around water lines, manholes, etc. What was interesting was they all had a tri-point blade and then a 25-2 string head mounted. Essentially the string head was the LH nut. At first I was thinking what in the world and then I realized... if the string doesn't get it, instead of breaking the string off at the eyelet, the blade would get it.
I am tempted to try this setup on my FS240. Thoughts?
