Not sure what you guys use to contan you gear for going out cutting but i come across this bin at the grocery store and thought it would be great. Think i will have room for my small no spill gas can and a couple soap bottles full of oil, and most my little stuff. i uss to use a small little kitty littler bicket bit was never big enough.

I carry most of my chainsaw stuff in a metal Sawzall case. That would include assorted files, raker file, large paint brush for cleaning air filters, couple of assorted screnches, spare chains, carb adjustment screwdriver, spare bar nuts, one wedge, etc.
Oil is just carried in one gallon plastic bottles
Fuel is in a 1.5 gallon wedge can which won't tip over.
Saws are usually in cases but not always.
I sometimes also carry a Timberjack, wedges, 3 lb drilling hammer to pound wedges, loppers, machete, and if applicable, ropes, pulling tools, climbing gear, etc.
What I carry depends a lot on the intended mission. I load specific to the job. I wish I had a truck I could just keep all my gear in but that's not reality around here.

I use a backpack!

The one I use will fit up to:
- 2 litres of oil
- 2 litres of fuel
- spare chain
- wrench
- files
- my 2 wedges
- a 2 litre water bottle
- some food if required

I thought of coming up with something else, but this backpack is perfect as I quite often hike to where I cut wood.

Bag with shoulder strap from HF, around $5 on regular special for the saw-stuff du jour. Another bag with winching-kit: couple chains, slings, straps, come-along, if needed. So much for trekking maybe a couple hundred yards.

Beyond that distance, saw and necessary stuff (only) go into USA surplus A.L.I.C.E. pack. So many pockets!

However carried, fuel may be in liter can(s) that e-free premix arrived in. Oil in dish detergent squeeze bottle. One side-benny of fuel-efficient saws- don't have to tote that much fuel.

Open-top tool tote most of the time, Dakine Builder's Pack when traveling longer distances. Gas goes in those premixed gas bottles, oil goes in gear oil bottles.

Why?
Because of what I listed?

If so, no I don't pack out in the wood but do I occasionally spend the whole day sun up till sun down clearing bushes.

I just listed what can fit in a simple backpack, I rarely gear up like that - a good supply of water is required though, especially during the summer!
