To me it's still a stock saw, I think those basic mods should be done to every saw.

Looks like it will port well,good stock timing I bet

Exactly,only a gasket delete.
Bone stock
For a spare saw -- are these chinese kits to the place now where you could say..."yes, it's a viable option"?

Second question. If you ported this kit, would you advise an OEM clutch or any other changes that will improve the longevity of the saw.

If it's built correctly and passes a pressure/vacc test and tuned with a good carb maybe. My ported cylinder was limited. Jason can tell when some power is put to it. I feel the bottom end is solid. I put about 100$ more in it with oem parts and I feel it would last.
