Saw Break In

I an going to break in a new saw, Is there anything special I should do? How many tanks of fuel does it take to do this?

Put ethanol free fuel, good quality oil, mix pour and start cutting.

I would add to this to let the saw idle for a couple minutes before working it to let everything heat soak and get well lubricated. Other than that, run it as you always would.

I have nose problems so I have to ask what make/model saw did you purchase? If its an auto tune, just use it.

I have a Stihl MS 362 This saw does not have auto tune.

Best to avoid long cuts for a few gallons to prevent excess heat buildup due to friction between moving parts. Running a slightly richer mix is another option to keep things cooler.
