Is there a difference in quality/durability between the two? I have a gray GZ400, I love running the saw, but it feels fragile and there often seems to be little issues.

I've replaced the oiler once and the started pawls are a definite weak point. Would these issues be resolved with a GZ4000/4500?

Thanks for the input.

Never held a gz400 or ryobi clone but always read that they contained more plastic than the gz4000.i do have a gz4000 and craftsman clones and like them pretty good.to me they feel fragile but that is mostly due to the size and weight.great saws other than the oiler gears.I bought a craftsman clone a while back oiler gear was killed.had to buy a new complete pump to get the gear.picked up my other saw and sure nuff its not oiling now too.
