I used to use Red Armour, good oil just got pricey. I dont know how the new formulation does. I use Scheaffers now.
Which schaeffer?
I can get 6 quarts for the price of 4 quarts red armor?

Anybody still running red armor?
A built a 461 for a guy awhile back and told him to switch to it. The Stihl oil he was running is absolute garbage. I'm not sure the XP oil is any better after seeing the inside of these 372's the last few weeks. Dry as a fuggin bone..

I've never noticed a smell. If there is one its very mild. Doesnt smell like cherry pipe tobacco though! . Yes, it is 7000. Very happy with it.

Does anyone know if the new formula red armor is as good as the old formula?

I am still running it and have had no issues with it. I always mix it with ethanol free fuels as well.

20170204_174250.jpgecho 590 about five year's of 40/1 red armor only.
Then i ported it
No exhaust pics though.
Twas clean a rag wiped off anything that was there.
I ran ra in 60s homelites black sludge would ooze out
As it loosened deposits up.
I like ra just getting too pricey when comparable oils are much cheaper.
