So I am looking for a new/used saw to meet my needs.
First about me. I have been in the chainsaw game for about ~4yrs now. I have rebuilt/restored a few stihl saws: including full dissembly to refinish, yes, i do split the cases. I have dabbled in porting, but the work is to small for me, I will leave that to the pros.
I build and restore the powertrain of classic cars, so naturally I am detail oriented.
Back to what I need.
I've recently had a ~5ft diameter oak taken down behind my house, and i've decided i want to make tables out of 4-5" thick "cookies".
So i need a saw that can handle a 62" or larger bar. I was considering a ms880/881. What reccomendations do you all have?
