Brought home a pre-steak today from my parents, final trip on Thursday night. Got some nice inch and a half ones in the freezer already for next Sunday lunch. Going to make some baked mac and cheese as well.What is for dinner, lol?

No…that’s Raisman .404 semithat stuff has to be rough on chains. Have you tried carbide chain resharpened to a standard chain profile? I've used it in sand impregnated maple with great success.
Try a loop of the Forester chisel carbide, resharpened to standard specs, including rakers done as “progressive” and a bit lower than “normal “. I was actually surprised at how well it did. Regular chain lasted two rounds. The carbide lasted the rest of the day. You’ll need a diamond wheel on your grinder.I try to plunge cut and then rotate so chain is pulling out of wood
