What year on that thermostat?
There was a design change on the thermostat (at least if going oem) and certain ones require a new water pump to match it.
I'm pretty sure by looking at the ones you have there, that's the case.

What would keep the heater from working on this truck?
That thermostat self destructed when I removed it I was hoping that was the issue
But it still didn't work after I replaced it comes to temp and works good and
Ac and fan works perfectly just no heat.

Check to see if 1 heater hose is hot and 1 cold. If so, heater core is plugged. On those you can usually remove the hoses and backslash it to get it flowing again.

Thanks it's been over 20 year's since I had to do that I forgot about it
It's a nice truck but it set 6 year's
I just need to replace the windshield and the heat going
Previous owner put a new 4x4 actuator or whatever it's called on the drivetrain and button switch in the dash
Everything works great but the heat.

Just got home from the family dinner I got a call my 91 year old neighbor has been missing since 7am
My other neighbor Jim found him at
7pm so for 12 hours he'd been pinned under his atv he rolled it
He's lucid and talking fine he says he thinks he broke his leg and hip
His left eye is hurt as well.IMG_20221124_195505363.jpg
