I am not sure, but judging by the size and the bark I am going to say cottonwood.
I was thinking the same.

That something you’re building in the last photo?
What's the structure out in the field?

What's wrong with that exhaust?
Is that a long haired lab?
So after fabercobleing a muffler on ol red an exhaust leak appears

So what kind of hackery should I subject to this before I have to pull the manifold?
There should be 2 flanges bolted together, but there is only 1 flange so somebody welded it.
Not sure. She was a rescue. Pretty sure she has some lab, and some type of spaniel possibly and even some aussie too.
Got access to a torch? If you can get the manifold "ears" where the studs thread in red hot, should be able to get them to come out. And I'm meaning 3 seconds before it turns to a liquid..lol
Going to need studs, springs, nuts and gaskets as long as the flare on the pipe isn't rotted away.
It's hard to tell from the pic but the bolt have thinned out from rusting. I'm thin the manifold is gonna have to come off. And if I go that far I might as well swap the motor lol.
Is she all black? Really looking like my boy Mac.
She's getting gray around her muzzle with age, but otherwise, yes, all black.
No need to swap the motor.
It would be easiest to repair if you pull the manifolds. Might have to replace..
One thing to note, if you try to reinstall the manifold, they tend to press in and not line back up.
If you go that route, shoot me a text a week before, I will send my manifold spreaders down for you to borrow. You'll likely not get them back on without..
Um its a 4.3
Always a need to motor swap lol.
If I have to I'll probably buy a new manifold or just ignore it since it's an over sized wheel borrow in my eyes.
Put your 454 in it. All done problem solved.Um its a 4.3

I forgot that was a V6 truck..
It's crossed my mind lol. What a wastePut your 454 in it. All done problem solved.
Don't forget to do axle and spring swap while you are at too.
