So here's ya some sentiment, come to think about how things used to be:

That photo is from 2002 or so. Been going to Vencils since a bit before then in Taylor, TX. Vencil would often go to sleep there or at table 2.
We spoke on a fair few occasions.

Then this came up on my youtube feed:

And it turns out that ole boy is now gone, along with the cafe.

Yeah the owner of that Massey dealership owns that tractor. I don't think there's many of these old girls left.

Bring on the snow. Got the new to me blade on. Much lighter then my old homemade one.
I tried it out couple weeks ago but the mount was too far back and couldnt lift it very high. Got it moved and happy with it now.

You spare no cost when it comes to buying a good straight edge Ed. Gotta love the white residue tattle tale. Wondering if you are experiencing no smearing or spalling of the lead tin overlay bearings on a contamination failure like that on a gas engine. In my diesel world the bottom ends don't seem to be affected as much on a A/fr. contamination in the crankcase. Couldn't say that 10 years ago. Don't know if it is due to the long life ethylene glycol being more bearing compatible to the overlays or what?? Wrench on buddy!!

Its actually pretty impressive what the bearings will take these days. Lack of oil, contamination.. the GM ones hold up well. I had a 2.4 with a blown out crank seal the customer ran completely out of oil 3 times before it spun 2 rod bearings.

I don't recall what I paid for it.
For a powder coated bar of steel with a machined edge, it wasn't cheap though. $65?
