The wood in your part of the world looks different (I know its a different species than Southern Pine). The hew is beautiful to me.
I've been doing quite a bit of work on my mother in law's house. You guys make me want to put on my tool belt and climb up :D
Thanks, the domain wood here is Doglas fur, it’s a great wood to work with and really strong, and I love the smell! We are a family business, me. my dad an brother, dad is 71 and still going strong!

Little family outing to the mountains. We forgot the means to light a fire and the kids wanted to warm up after dunking in the cold creek. So we did it the ole fashioned way and soon had a merry blaze... And some horses on the drive back...

Wild horses?
I think they belong to a guy who lives out there. I talked to him once. Nice guy and his family has been there for generations. They have some cattle too. He owns a little pocket of property surrounded by national forest.... Must be nice.... (This is southern Arizona, so swimming in February happens... It was almost 80 degrees.)
