Good times! I remember watching the pulls a lot when I was a kid. Loved hearing those motors scream as they went by.

EDIT: And the only things that topped it, the top fuel drags. What a spectacle! Distorts you’re vision as they go by. And the only thing to top that was seeing the space shuttle launch. It was way way up and you could still feel the crackle of the rockets. Pretty awesome, I’ll never forget it.

My parents drove us from Baltimore to Cape Canaveral in 1992 to watch a space shuttle launch. They scrubbed the launch at t-57. :(

Still made an impact on me at 6 years old that i can remember it today.

The Brush run or World offroad championships in Crandon are pretty cool.
Land rush start, and when the Pro 4 trucks come down the long straight before entering the track the whole ground shakes and it's an awesome sound

Storm damaged tree that lost a lead a few weeks ago. It was leaning into another maple thats a little smaller that the top broke out of. What was funny is that the lead did not strip down the side and let go, so I grabbed my beasty little ms193 rear handle and I was going to just cut it off and watch it drop. Everything was going well until it wasn't , ended up there was a chain in it that was tying the three leads together and that's why it didn't just strip of the stem, left a good number of cutters on the ground :crybaby2:. Better assessment on my part woul have saved me from the trouble :shakehead:.
For size reference the chain is about 6.5' off the ground and its a 3/8 or bigger chain.
Anyone for some fungus lol.

Yuck - I've never heard of anyone retaining leads with a chain. At least with a cable tie system you can see the heads of the anchors even if they're mostly grown over...

We're getting some of it too, mainly in the early mornings and then again about right now. There for a while the bay would be completely socked in early mornings with smoke from Madras.
I haven’t seen it this bad here, the East wind is howling here! It’s probably twice as smoky as I have ever seen it here. I know other places get it much worse, but I haven’t seen it here.

Wow.
I'd probably need to wear a mask ;).
Hope it clears out soon guys.
Been so close to the ocean it’s rare here, and East wind is super rare, hopefully the fires stop, but it’s really dry here!
