The deer will get shot or the dogs :D.

We just lost a chicken to a red tailed hawk. The guys on AS were saying some guys put traps on top of a pole, I think id get in trouble for that. I'll just make a temporary run for them and put glass panels over it :eusa_whistle:.
Bird of prey are all protected! Big trouble!! I made a coop for a customer that was loosing a bunch of chickens to bald eagles! Works great!

My chickens stay in the run almost all the time or they'd all be hawk food in a matter of hours.

Wow!!
Look @ the aerial feathered patrol!!
Are those red tailed hawks?

They are. Their nest is about 50 yards behind my house, they've been returning for about 15 years. There were 3 babies this year. They are sharp too. If I let the chickens out to roam in the yard, the hawks will be circling overhead within 15 minutes.

I love the bloodthirsty bastards though... just as long as they aren't eating my chickens.

Been using analog tach to figure prop pitch on the boat. Got a new toy for the motor since I was wondering about hours and other little things. No wonder it doesn't have much of a hole shot since the tach is 1000rpm off. Over pitched, but I have a couple different props for it already. What I don't like is that it requires you to turn on location on your phone before it will work. But I have found out enough info now that it has paid for itself verses a couple trips to a dealer to hook up to a computer.

Haha, did a chicken wire top, and an inclosed area for shelter and to lay eggs
Would be kinda fun I think.
While the girls are a bit concerned(and rightly so) they have been out and about a bit more. My neighbor across the street has full grown birds and has no problems with the Hawks. Earlier this yr he had like 25 chics get eaten by coons when in the chicken tractor over night, what's funny is I had warned him there was a family of coons around(momma and 5 or 6 babies), he told me yeah they got in the house the other day and were eating the cats food, they didn't want me to shoot them:sniper: .
Pic of my buddies truck you guys may like, he built it frame up and painted it.
He added the stickers to have a bit of fun.

Looks great.
That's a lot of hawks, ours are a good bit further from the house, but seen on a normal basis. We also have falcon here on occasion, but I haven't seen them this yr at our house/yard.
I may have to build a run, we'll give them a bit and see how they do.
A buddy asked me to get this coop out of a property he sold, he's now living in his rental for two yrs to avoid property gains taxes so I will be able to use it for a while, it seemed right to put chickens in it since it was here lol. Another buddy sells chickens and we have like 50 into everything at this point with a big bag of feed, feeder, and waterer so its a cheap experiment compared to other things I spend my money on. I just spent 250 on mower and backpack blower parts lol, needed to get it back up to where everything is working 100%.
Had a bent blade(just ordered 6 new ones) and I used my Japanese mower jack to pull the blade :).

I was thinking of you when I took the picture.
I had a tear in the deck of my mower at the bolt for an idler we repaired in his barn, when I helped him build it he said anytime the bay is open I could use it, so I did. Made a small patch to put over the cracked area and welded it on, it shouldn't crack again. I needed a new blade belt but didn't want to put it in until that was fixed, the belt is part of my most recent order of parts, I need to order another steering damper because the company I ordered that from canceled it off my order so I guess they didn't have one in stock.
This guy turned around in front of me Sunday, I asked if he wanted to sell it and he said not yet, I know where he lives and will be over to see if it's yet yet, with cash in hand.
Its fresh out of Oregon and has the 7.3.

Those mower decks are not fun to weld I've had to do it a couple times on my GT 5000 I'm going to have to do some belt swaps myself. I need to pull the bearing on top of one of the spindle towers and replace it also the voltage regulator is gone after that it should be back in good shape. Ill keep fixing this one because the older ones still have a fabricated deck. My V10 is still running strong all new brake lines should haul plenty of more wood. Only thing I can figure with all these canceled orders is everyone repairing stuff because of this pandemic and the shortage of new equipment hopefully here soon the stock builds back up.
