I was about to bash cooper as well Ed. We have more problems with Coopers causing tire pulls and chopping/noise issues of all our adjustments.

Im a Continental tire guy.

I think the only reason we carry those is our old parts manager was getting some type of kickback on them.
I always refer to them as turf scratchers, cat scratchers and "top chef's", because they chop like one. My parts guys finally figured out my nicknames for them.

Cut a tree up today. It was leaning toward the hiway so i put a rope in it to make sure it went the rite way.

After i got home i relaxed for a few mins and had a wobbly pop.

We stock and sell Cooper tires at work.
Maybe they have come a ways with compounds and such but I really wouldnt trade a bucket of monkey piss for a set of them.
From what I see they chop quickly and suck donkey balls in the snow. But, all my recent experience is with them on customer vehicles. After the set we had on my wifes Trailblazer back in 04-05, I never considered them again.

And truck tires shouldn't be used on trailers. Sidewall construction is different for the different loading.
I balance all my trailer tires. It actually makes them wear much better not bouncing around..

Cooper tires suck balls! Put a new set of cs5's on my work car and I lost 3mpg and get stuck on level ground when it snows. And the at3's on my old burb aren't any better. Never buying another set. They wear like chit and the traction sucks. I'm going back to goodyear or firestone. Would kill for a few sets of steeltex from back in the day.

I have an 11 year old set of CS4s on my Lexus about 50,000 them and finally showing some cracking. I wonder if they have gotten cheaper through the years?

Came across a delightful surprise in the woods today. I have not seen a box turtle since I was a child. It's amazing that they can live 50-100 years!

Not sure honestly. After 15,000 miles I'm not impressed with my Mickey Thompson tires though.
