It's a Northern Ireland car originally...think about it...
And, of course, with a press of a button it will give me KM/L, and Kilometers/Liter fuel consumption on the go.

Which also means that average is closer to 36MPG US as the US Gal is 83.3% of the British gallon. Still, insane mileage for a mid sized car in mostly city driving. I'll have to do a fwy run some time and seee how she does. Which gives me a great segue - why do they call 750ml bottles of liquor 'fifths' stateside? Because it is one fifth of a US gallon. Most Europeans are confused by it.

My daily commute is 110 miles round trip, so MPG is very important to me. My ancient Mazda 626 still gets over 30 even with 285k on the un-rebuilt engine. I believe synthetic oil changed every 2k and frequent tune-ups really help.

Here's our lil Laguna wagon. AKA estate, AKA tourer, AKA break(pronounced Luh Bree Ack in French) etc. Station Wagon, a wagon that takes you to the station, is an American thang. The neighbour, our mechanic and car salesman, has a Volvo V60 in the drive. They are similar sizes. This image makes the butt look big, but it does sort of have a big butt. We got it mostly for our dogs. I am considering getting myself a lil Megane for around town.

The view across the street si actually rather odd. That's two Honda Civics there. To the left, which you can't see in the pic, that neighbour has two Honda CRV's. And the one to our far left has two Honda's as well. Madness.

Here is an Eerily quiet video of the 2010 Megane, which I might be able to afford in a bit. I dunno. Prolly not :( But I can dream.

Yes, my dreams are a bit pathetic.

This thing is suppsoed to do something stupid like 72mpg, uh... 60MPG US on the fwy. I somehow doubt it. But a friends Megane 1.5 does get that on the FWy with her 1.5DCi.
I just took the Laguna around town on a tear, literally gunning it everywhere to see how bad I could drag the mpg down, and got 29MPG. And I live in a hilly area, too.

It's called over processing ;) Also, we had a fire in the mountains yesterday, and there's haze everywhere. So I had to process some of that out. Smells great out, tho.

No Wonder I'm drawn to it...my family, Irish both sides, settled into the mountains of WV 125 to 200 years ago.
Very beautiful area that you live. I'm jealous.

Wicklow is the most mountanous region of Ireland.
I took this image in WV:

Besides a few car bombs, it means Northern Ireland uses English/Imperial units of measure for velocity. But, oddly, uses metric for nearly all other weights and measures besides MPG. It's even litres at the pumps vs gallons.
Interesting. I'll try to remember that, maybe I'll win some sort of trivia some day lol.
You on lockdown over there.
